BASIC ATIS SYSTEM

The basic ATIS System consists of a minimal number of external interfaces, but always has the dual hotstandby servers, a technical maintenance workstation and one or 2 ATC workstations and finally an interface to a VHF transmitter for broadcast of the ATIS. One of the workstations has a builtin ATIS voice recorder as a backup system.

The interface comprises a separate router to the service provider points of presence and compliance with the tightly defined protocols required by the service provider need to be tested and certified

The ATIS Connect system OPTION for D-ATIS has certified compliance for connection to the SITA Network, based on ED89A and the associated ARINC protocols. ( ARINC 623 etc)
